Service Desk Operations Consultant, Hest Technologies, Inc., Haltom City, TX.                                          2009 to Current

Managed service desk  operations  for PC gaming software company. Managed staff of 12, including 4 direct reports and 1 offisite operations manager and his team.

  • Recruited by COO to build and improve their overall service desk/helpdesk operations.  Result: Devlivered numerous processes and tools to help streamline installations, improve overall customer support, and effectively deliver software releases and updates.
  • Performed duties as acting Build Manager by helping to introduce SDLC standards and practices organization-wide. 

 

VP Network Operations, Fairpay Solutions, Inc., Addison, TX.                                          2006 to 2009

Managed network operations and helpdesk for $40 million specialty medical bill review company. Managed staff of 7, including outside contractors.

  • Recruited by CIO to turn around helpdesk operations.  Result: Delivered significant savings, improved service levels, reduced complexity by standardizing infrastructure, and reduced overall IT operations costs by $750,000 annually.
  • Project Manager on several development and implementation projects, including: BizTalk, the company Intranet using Sharepoint Server, development of company’s FPI system, implementation of VMWare Server, and build out of company’s Network Operations Center and carrier-class data center.
  • Led company to the adoption of virtualization in its network infrastructure, reducing the required number of physical servers by 30%.
  • Initiated and implemented ITIL/MOF standards and practices for improved IT Service Management.
